NEW DELHI, Aug 20: Mentha oil prices rose 0.29 per cent to Rs 724.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in enlarging positions amid tight supplies from producing regions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September gained Rs 2.10, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 724.50 per kg in a business turnover of 57 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in August added Rs 1.80, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 711.60 per kg in 196 lots.
Marketmen said a firming trend at spot market on tight supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh against rising demand, mainly kept mentha oil prices up at futures trade. (PTI)
