UDHAMPUR, Dec 6: Municipal Council Udhampur today sealed a shop, which rented out by the MCU to State Road Transport Corporation.
In the evening, a team of Municipal Counsel Udhampur, led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) MCU Udhampur reached at Dabber Chowk where they sealed a MCU shop, which was occupied by State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) for more than four decade. The shop was sealed in presence of 1st Class Magistrate.
In this regard CEO MCU said that that the SRTC Department, the tenant of the shop, had not paid rent of the same from more than 15 years. More over the shop was also not in use of SRTC from last 25 years, he added. None of the officials from SRTC was present when the MCU authorities were sealing the shop.
CEO MCU disclosed that very soon shop will be auctioned for rent with the permission and instructions of higher authorities.
