Mass copying in exam centers, 34 unfair means cases framed

MENDHAR, Mar 6: The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mendhar and Flying Squad of  State Board of School Education detected and framed 34 cases of unfair means in five 12th Class examination centers at Chhatral and Mankote in Mendhar area of district Poonch.
Reports of violence by some locals at Chhatral Higher Secondary School were received and the SDPO Mendhar rushed police there after some local villagers stormed into the exam Centre No. 4501, 4502 and 4503. The local youth  started pelting stones on the two cops deployed at the Centre after they objected. The strong mob without bothering for exam staff started helping their wards in mass copying by entering into the exam halls. Today, was English paper of Class 12 annual session. SDPO Mendhar Surinder Choudhary came to know about the matter and rushed reinforcement. Flying squad  of  BOSE led by I./C Officer Dev Dutt Sharma rushed to the site and framed 22 cases of unfair means there. The SDM Romesh Kumar directed the Education authorities to change entire staff at Chhatral and recommended action against them to the CEO Poonch.
SDM after receiving information rushed to exam Centre No. 4504/ 4505 at Mankote Higher Secondary School and framed 12 cases of unfair means. He also initiated action against examiner and the staff there. He directed to change the entire staff there.
At Govt Higher Secondary School, Bhata Durian, 46 students were provided question paper of English at 11.15 am instead of 10 am. There are 146 children undergoing examination at this Centre. 100 students received papers in time.
The students and their parents lodged protest and take up the issue with Examiner and principal of the Higher Secondary School. They claimed that there were 46 less question papers in the packet and 46 students were provided photo copies. Therefore, it took some time.   Then they contacted SDM and Dy CEO Poonch.
SDM taking serious note of the matter initiated inquiry into the matter. The incharge BOSE sub office, Mendhar  Dev Dutt claimed that 170 question papers were provided to Bhata Dhurian Centre where strength is only 146. The examiner is responsible for the mess created there. He said that action under rules will be taken in this regard.
