UDHAMPUR, Mar 9: A married woman and her paramour committed suicide under mysterious circumstances in an isolated place in remote Kundi Top area, under the jurisdiction of Latti Police Station, here today.
The deceased were identified as Pawan Kumar (28), son of Des Raj of Marothi Sudhmahadev and Simlo Devi (35), wife of Sansar Chand of Kund Nallha Latti. Both of them were missing from their respective residence for the last 15 days and their dead bodies were found hanging from a tree in Kundi Top area.
The hanging dead bodies were spotted by some locals, who informed the Police, Later a Police team shifted the dead bodies to PHC Latti for the postmortem and other legal formalities.
According to the ASP Udhampur, Faisal Qureshi, both the deceased were missing for the last 15 days. A missing report by the family of deceased female was lodged at Police Station Latti while the family of deceased youth had lodged missing report at Police Post Sudhmhadev.
Meanwhile, Latti Police has registered the case of death under Section 174 of CrPC and started further investigation in this regard.
