JAMMU, Apr 23: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma questioned BJP over large scale transfers and postings in Forest and Health Department by the BJP Ministers even after their resignation and sought immediate intervention of State Governor N N Vohra.
In a press statement here today, senior Congress leader taking strong note of the postings and transfers in the Forest as well as Heath Departments after tendering resignation from the Ministerial berth by the concerned Ministers, said it is surprising that such large scale of transfers of officials within a day after quitting as Cabinet Minister is a matter of great concern. He said even some senior most officers of the department were transferred setting aside all the procedures and norms, particularly the some officers whose transfer, is the prerogative of the State Cabinet,
Dr Sharma further said that the BJP and its ministers doing transfers losing all political ethics only to extract money and create bad precedence in the eyes of law. It is pertinent to mention here that several back date transfer orders have been issued by these ministers after tendering their resignations. This is a disregard to the principles of the morality and political ethics disregard to their central leadership.
He said they have set bad precedence. They have tried to accommodate their nears and dears and even attached some officers after surrendering power as Minister. How it is possible that once the ministers surrenders his power, he can issue transfer and suspension orders of the officials. Is this kind of governance had been promised by Modi and BJP before the elections.
Dr Sharma pointing towards large scale transfer orders issued by Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh immediately after assuming temporary charge as Forest Minister which clearly as well as amply shows the vindictive approach of him. This has exposed the infightings and division within the BJP. He said that Governor N N Vohra is exacted to intervene into the matter.
