KATHUA, Jan 24: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma conducted an extensive tour of the different villages namely Bajoke Chak, Mela, Sallan, Dasanu (Dinga Amb), of Kandi belt and Lakhri, Jastar, Thara Kalyal, Gurha Kalyal, Dharamani, Deval Billawar, Kishanpur, Chingi Makwal and Ramkot of Billawar constituency to participate in various social and religious functions and interacted with the local people.
Dr Sharma while interacting with the people came down heavily on the BJP-PDP Government for their wrong and anti-people policies due to which the general masses were suffering badly even for minor day to day problems.
Dr Sharma strongly criticized the present dispensation both at national and State level for their more talking and poor implementation of all Government schemes even those which had already been initiated by the UPA Government have been left midway.
Dr Sharma criticized the way of working and style of present coalition Government and the local MLA which happens to be the Dy CM of the State for deliberately ignoring the genuine problems of the constituency for which general public was facing hardship like non availability of CAPD APL ration, BPL ration and sugar for more than three or four months. The link road from Billawar to Katli, Katli to Deri Gala via Chew and Riar to Baggan is in very bad condition. The work on a bridge, over nallah Beeni over Katli Marhoon road which was sanctioned in the FY 2013-14, tender and allotment of completed approximately one year back , has not been started yet.
Dr Sharma levelled serious charges against BJP and its leadership for befooling the people on the slogan “Sab ka Sath Sab ka Vikas” but they only believe in the vikas of their own people at the cost of nation and the general public if it not so why the projects of hundred of crores had been left abandoned without any reason.
