UDHAMPUR, Jan 10: Demanding justice, PHE Daily Wagers today held a protest demonstration under the leadership of former MLA and JKNPP president, Balwant Singh Mankotia, here today.
The protesting workers raised slogans against the PHE Department and highlighted their demands, particularly the release of their pending wages.
While addressing the gathering, Mankotia informed that the Government service was provided to these workers against their land given to the department but they were neither being regularized nor provided wages from the last 50 months. He appealed the Governor to regularise services of these Daily Wagers and release their pending salaries.
Mankotia stressed that JKNPP would fight tooth and nail against the injustice with the Daily Wagers, who were genuinely protesting for highlighting their demands.
Prominent among others, who joined the protest demonstration, included Councillors Sunil Proach, Asha Devi, Jagdish Kumar, Darshan Kumar, Ex Counsellor Shamim Akhter, Sushil Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Soni Rathore and Ajit Kotwal.
