JAMMU, Mar 19: Rajya Sabha MP, Shamsher Singh Manhas today inaugurated the transformer at village Raipur. With the inauguration of transformer the long lasting problem of low voltage being faced by the people of the area was addressed.
The people complimented the MP for his efforts and also requested to redress their other problems related to water and road connectivity in the area. The MP assured the residents that their genuine demands would be put forward to the concerned departments so that emergency steps will be taken to provide relief to the people.
Moreover Manhas also kick started various construction work in the village amounting to Rs 40 lakh approximately. The people of the village expressed their satisfaction and they organized a function in his honour.
On this occasion various officers and prominent citizens were present. They included BDO Neha Sharma, VHP general secretary Shakti Dutt Sharma, State Kissan Morcha president Rajinder Singh Chib, State Kissan Morcha general secretary, Sunil Dutt (Raka), Sarpanch Bupinder Singh, Sahil Seth, Raju Jamwal,Bbakshi Singh, Rashpal Singh and many others.
