JAMMU, Jan 21: A mentally unstable man died today of drowning in Nikki Tawi in Chatha area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the man identified as Ramesh Kumar (40) son of Belu Ram, a resient of Hakkal (Chatha), who was mentally unstable was missing since last evening from his residence.
“Today, at about 11 am the body of the deceased was spotted by some locals in Nikki Tawi near Khandwa in Chatha area”, the spokesman said adding on getting information from locals police reached the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital, where after conducting post mortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this connection has been registered at concerned police station and investigations started.
