JAMMU, July 11: Arnia police under ‘Operation Amrit’ arrested a man and recovered 36 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Arnia Police Station conducted raid at village Kathar and apprehended a man along with 36 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Daleep Singh, son of Chain singh, a resident of Kool Kalan, Tehsil Arnia.
A case under FIR Number 42/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Arnia Inspector Rajesh Khajuria and assisted by HC Ajit Raj made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
