JAMMU, June 29: Police arrested a man for smuggling bovine animals to Valley from Ban Toll Plaza area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota police station laid a naka at Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted Alto car.
During checking, police rescued two bovine animals and arrested the accused, who has been identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Abdul Rasheed of Qazigund, Srinagar.
A case under FIR Number 142/16 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at police station Nagrota and investigation started.
