SAMBA, Sept 17: Bari Brahmana police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Bari Brahmana Police Station during patrolling in the main bazaar intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 100 small bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Vinod Kumar, of Behari Lal, a resident of Rajasthan, at present Bari Brahmana.
A case under FIR Number 172/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bari Brahmana Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bari Brahmana Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Samba Dr Koshal Sharma.
