Man arrested for cheating people on jobs pretext

JAMMU, Apr 7: RS Pura police arrested a man for cheating people on the pretext of providing them jobs in the Police Department in lieu of huge money.
As per police sources, Narinder Kumar, son of Kasturi Lal of Ward Number 6 RS Pura along with others lodged a complaint with Police Station RS Pura stating that Rakesh Kumar alias IG, son of Om Parkash, a resident of Badyal Brahmana took away huge money from them on the pretext of providing them jobs in the Police Department.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 45/18 under Sections 420, 170, 171, 504 and 506 RPC was registered at RS Pura Police Station and the accused has been arrested.
The accused is also a history sheeter of Police Station RS Pura and was involved in a large number of criminal cases registered under FIR Numbers 177/2002, 88/2006, 120/2007, 104/2013, 31/2015 and 45/18.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
