JAMMU, May 15: The dead body of a male infant was found today from a drain here in Prem Nagar area.
According to a police spokesman, some locals this morning spotted the dead body of a new born male baby in a drain near Christian graveyard in Prem Nagar area of Gujjar Nagar and informed the police.
He said that police immediately reached the spot and shifted the body of the baby to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem. “The body was about 2-3 days old”, he added.
A case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and further investigations started.
