UDHAMPUR, July 13: Terming one tax one nation slogan a hoax, Panther Party’s State president and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia today said that Lakhanpur toll tax is a betrayal on the name of GST and BJP is befooling people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference, here today, Mankotia made a scathing attack on BJP for its claim of bringing entire country under one tax one nation ambit and pointed out that Lakhanpur toll plaza was still working He said that existence of Lakhanpur toll plaza will strengthen Article 370 in State in contrary to BJP’s slogan of scraping this Article 370 after coming to power.
Alleging that BJP was strengthening Article 370, instead of abrogating the same, after coming to power in J&K, he warned that Panther Party will not tolerate any such move. He said that for implementation of GST in State, there was no need to hold a special Assembly session in State. “Like these, 40 laws have been implemented in the Jammu and Kashmir by then Central Government by the direct ordinance from President of India,” he reminded and added that by summoning the special Assembly session to pass the GST for its implementation in the State, the BJP Government has proved that party has no faith in the Constitution of India and also proves that no law passed by Parliament should be implemented in State till State Assembly passes the law in house.
On this occasion, Sudesh Sharma, Balbir Singh, Vijay Sallan and others were also present.
