Lady drug peddler nabbed with ganja

JAMMU, Mar 19: Bahu Fort police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ nabbed a lady drug peddler and recovered ganja from her possession.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bahu Fort police station laid a naka near Panama Chowk and intercepted a lady going towards Rajiv Nagar area in Narwal.
During checking, police recovered 2 kilograms of ganja from the possession of the lady and arrested her.
The lady drug peddler has been identified as Shakeela, wife of Gurdev, a resident of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal.
The accused lady was carrying the narcotic drug for sale among the youth in Jammu, but police foiled her bid.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at police station Bahu Fort and further investigation of the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bharat Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
