KATHUA, Jan 22: Kathua police claimed to have solved the Naresh Sharma draftsman assault case within 24 hours of criminal act taken place in the town few days back.
Police said Jatinder Singh S/o Girdhari Lal of Karanwada Basohli A/P Ward No 4 Kathua lodged a written report with Police Station Kathua that at about 7 pm he along with Naresh Kumar Sharma had gone to Nisha Ultrasound Centre Shaheedi Chowk and when they were coming back on a scooty and reached in Krishna Colony some six to seven unknown persons coming from opposite directions stopped them and started thrashing Naresh Kumar, Draftsman sitting behind the Scooty.
They also stabbed Naresh on head, arm and legs with Toka/Lathi etc to commit his murder with common object. Naresh ell down from the scooty as he was seriously injured by the assailants and after making hue and cry by Jitender Singh, the accused fled away from the spot on two motor cycles and one motor cycle bearing registration No. PB06 AC-9496 was left on spot. The injured was immediately shifted to the District Hospital Kathua for treatment.
On this report the case FIR no 32/2018 U/S 307, 341,147,148, 149 RPC 4/25 Arms Act was registered and investigation was started. Since it was a blind case the Police parties headed by S.S. Sambyal, Dy.SP Headquarters Kathua assisted by Inspector Anil Sharma, SHO Kathua,SI Verinder Singh, IC PP Hatli and SI Vikas Jasrotia IC PP Nagri technical assistance succeeded in solving the blind attempt to murder case within hours of the time of incident and arrested four accused namely Joginder Kumar @ Happy S/o Manohar Lal R/o Ward No 7 Kathua , Rohit Kumar S/o Bodh Raj of Ward No 11 Nagri Kathua, Shammi Kumar S/o Sat Pal R/o Janial Punjab along with one lady Doctor Nisha Sharma wife of the victim under the close supervision of Sanjay Parihar, Additional SP Kathua and overall supervision of . Mohd Suleman Choudhary SSP Kathua.
The weapon of offence (Toka) has also been recovered. The arrested person including the Dr Nisha Sharma are remanded for five days for further investigation.
During investigation it revealed that the victim Naresh Sharma has estranged relation with her doctor wife Nisha Sharma for the past some months. She hatched a criminal conspiracy with one Joginder Kumar @ Happy S/o Manohar Lal R/o Kathua who used to work in her clinic part time and was closely known to her. The lady doctor planned with Happy to arrange some gunda elements to eliminate her husband and deal was settled at Rs one Lakh to complete the task.
As per plan Happy further asked his cousin Rohit Kumar, S/o Bodh Raj of Nagri to arrange the persons to eliminate the victim and also provided the weapons of offence Tokas and Darrat to him. Happy also facilitated Rohit the recee of the area where victim usually took route for his home and also given identification of the victim prior to the incident to execute the plan and conspiracy hatched between lady doctor and happy. On January 19 at about 07:00 PM Rohit Kumar along with five more accused assaulted and stabbed the victim Naresh Kumar Sharma with sharp edged weapons provided by Happy with common criminal object with the intention of killing him.
On making hue and cry by the complainant the accused left the scene of crime leaving the victim critically injured. The four accused has been arrested by the Kathua police and raids are being conducted by the police to nab the remaining accused in the case.
