Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpochey’s teachings conclude

LEH, June 21: A sea of devotees thronged Jevetsal to attend the four day teaching organized by Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA).
The teaching commenced with LBA Executive members headed by President Tsewang Thinles and other offering Mandala to Drigung Kyabgon Chetsang.
During the past four days, Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpochey, the 37th throne holder of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism imparted teaching on the topics “Monpa Seskyet Domba”, “Jukpa Semskyet Domba”, “Donam Semskyet Domba”, “Drigung Phowa Chenmo” followed by “Drupthop Thangtong Gyalpo Tsewang” longevity prayer offering besides offering Stenjuk by the devotees.
Apart from thousands of devotees across the Ladakh region, monks, nuns, foreign devotees, prominent personalities who attended the teaching includes Chosje Togdan Rinpochey, Drukpa Thuksey Rinpochey, LAHDC CEC Dr Sonam Dawa, Executive Councillors Agriculture Tsering Wangdus Executive Councillors Works Dorjay Mutup, SSP Tsering Gyalpo, former CEC Rigzin Spalbar, MP Thupstan Chhewang, former MP, Ex-MLC, Political heads and heads of various Tsogspa attended the teachings.
During the valedictory function, Kyabgon Chetsang strongly asserted upon the devotees not to believe in system said that social inequality are manmade practice having no base to believe in. He added that all human beings made of blood and flash desires happiness having equal right and dignity to live with therefore all should be treated with equal respect and dignity as Buddha preaches. Referring to his own initiatives “Go Green Go Organic” programme, Kyabgon Chetsang emphasized upon the devotees to practices organic farming to make the region sustainable.
LBA President Tsewang Thinles said that such teaching initiated by LBA aimed at inculcating Buddhist knowledge to general devotees especially the youth.
LAHDC, CEC, Dr Sonam Dawa apprised the Kyabgon Chetsang about various initiatives taken by Hill Council to promote land based sustainable development region so as to make the region self sustain and organic region.
The places around the ceremony venues wore a festivity mood with different stalls mostly found selling ritual items and other goods.
