Krimchi craving for road

Sir,
This has reference to DE Sunday Magazine article ‘Krimchi Temples craving for access road” by Sunny Dua on Oct 7, 2018 .
The Tourism Department and Distt. Administration talk high to promote tourism in the district, but in reality even the locals of Udhampur are not aware of this rare site of ancient times. If highlighted and promoted properly, this place can attract large number of National and International Tourists besides locals.
Pertinent to mention that Krimchi was capital of a very old hill state “Bhuti” of Duggar Group of States. The Palace and the Fort of Butial Kings were situated on a nearby lofty hillock nearby Krimchi Temples, “Bhuti” State has played important role in historical events of Duggar Pradesh in the past. Partap Singh Bhutial was the last king of Bhuti State in the line of 34 Kings. The daughter of Raja Partap Singh Bhutial was married with Raja Sir Amar Singh of Jammu and gave birth to Prince Hari Singh. Moreover Krimchi was an established trade centre in the past with all infrastructure of capital township.
As per archeological sources these settlements may be buried in nearby areas adjoining ancient Temple Complex. So it is requested to J&K State Government and Government of India to constitute expert committee to explore fully archeological sites and settlements of this ancient capital Township Krimchi.
It has been pointed out that locals do not allow the construction of link road upto Temple. The Government has all the powers to acquire land for development purpose. The high ranking politicians and bureaucrats should explain to the public that who is preventing them in this noble cause which is a part of their duty and commitment to the nation. The country is ruled by the rule of Law. The Government should acquire entire area for research purpose and people of the area be provided sufficient compensation and land at other place.
