JAMMU, June 12: Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha (KKHMS) and displaced Kashmiri unemployed youth in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Er. Ramesh Chander Mahajan discussed the issues relating to PM employment package with educated migrant youth of Jammu region.
He said in year 2008 the then PM, Dr Manmohan Singh announced 15,000 jobs for displaced youth and these jobs were meant for those Kashmiri youth who have migrated in 1990 and were registered with Relief Organization.
The meeting however expressed resentment against the recruitment policy of SSRB and Relief Organization which kept posts reserved for SC/ ALC/ST/OSC despite the fact that reservation of the posts was against the Cabinet decision taken by previous Government wherein it was decided to de-reserve the reserved category posts. This way the authorities were deliberately delaying the recruitment process, the meeting said.
It said till date 17,000 migrant Government employees retired in various State Government departments but Government failed to fill up the same with migrant youth.
The meeting demanded announcement of more 25,000 posts for the displaced unemployed youth.
