Kathua Campus of JU organizes guest lecture

KATHUA, Sept 8: To acquaint the students with the latest technology in IT Industry, Department of Computer Science & IT, Kathua Campus, today organized a lecture regarding ‘Database Management for Industrial Automation System’ and other recent developments in the field for the students of the programme.
Narinder Paul Singh, Technical Leader in HCL Technology, Noida, was the Resource Person. All the students of three semesters of MCA were the participants during the lecture.
Narinder Paul Singh has expertise in databases, ASP.net, MVC, WCF, WPF, Web services, LINQ, JQuery etc. He has more than ten years of professional experience in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including four years of onsite experience in USA that includes offshore coordination, production support etc.
In his lecture, he discussed at length the various means of archiving databases in IT Industry, slowness issues in database, the underlying reasons and their possible resolutions, Web applications and development, Azure service to cloud computing, IT Projects, their development, production support and product development.  Further, he focused upon the various challenges of working in IT Sector and how to cope up these challenges.
Professor Rajni Kant, Rector Kathua Campus, in his message, stressed that such lectures are of extreme importance for the students to narrow down the gap between the theory and practice. He exhorted that the campus is ever ready to execute the ideas of organizing such programmes to enhance the skill set and knowledge base of the students.
Earlier, Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Head, MCA, assured that more such lectures shall be undertaken in future to consolidate the collaboration between Academia and Industry. All the faculty members including  Amit Sharma,  Ajay Lakhnotra,  Riti Parkash Singh Katal,  Arun Singh and  Amardeep Sharma were also present during the session.
