Srinagar, July 18: A prominent Bollywood producer, Bunty Walia, who is here to make shooting arrangements for his upcoming movie ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ said that Kashmir is safe for shooting films and urged filmmakers to explore the beauty of Kashmir.
Speaking to Daily Excelsior, Bunty Walia said that he considers Kashmir a paradise on the earth and always advices his Bollywood friends to shoot films here. “Kashmir is a beautiful place and I always consider it as Paradise on Earth. I always tell my friends in the Film Industry that you can’t find any beautiful place other than Kashmir for shooting in the country,” he said.
Praising the development in the Valley, Bunty said a lot of development had happened here from the last 10 years. “I see a lot of development here. I came here after 10 years and a lot of development has happened. The roads of Srinagar are good and there is no chaos here. This is a good thing for film industry as well as for tourists,” he said
Bunty said earlier he came to the Valley in 2008-09 for the movie ‘Lamha’ and it was one of the best movies at that time. “I am returning here after 10 years. I first came here in the year 2008-09 during the time of movie ‘Lamha’ featuring Sanjay Dutt and Bipasha Basu. ‘Lamha’ was one of the best movies at that time and after that various producers started shooting their movies here. I think ‘Lamha’ opened a gateway for shooting of movies here and after that various movies were shot in the Valley,” he said
Speaking about the upcoming movie, Bunty expected that people will like the movie as they liked ‘Lamha’. “I cannot talk too much about the movie this time. The name of the movie is ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ and this is a spy movie which features Jackie Shroff as the RAW chief and John Abraham playing in the lead role. I hope people will like this movie,” he said.
