Kashmir problem being raise continuously for last 72 yrs: Shanta

MANDI (HP): Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Shanta Kumar categorically stated that the boggy of the so-called  non-existent Kashmir problem being raised continuously for the last 72 years has assumed ridiculous proportions in the wake of the stark fact that the Kashmir issue had been solved once for all after the signing of the Instrument of Accession between the Maharaja Hari Singh  of Jammu and Kashmir,  and the Dominion of India on October 26, 1947.

The legally valid treaty of accession had been duly ratified by the elected democratic Government of J&K headed by Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Sheikh Abdullah.  “Since then Jammu and Kashmir has become an integral and inseparable part of India,” he said.

Veteran leader, advocate and author of many books Shanta Kumar lamented that the Congress Government had not been able to tackle even the legally solved Kashmir issue which was very simple. (AGENCIES)
