JWAM holds protest against Govt

JAMMU, Mar 7: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest demonstration at Amphalla-High Court Road against the State Government for its failure to take up development works in Jammu city and its outskirts.
The JWAM activists led by president Sunil Dimple held demonstrations and disrupted traffic for about an hour at Amphalla-High Court Road. They raised slogans against the Government for not discussing their burning demands in the just concluded Assembly Session.
They criticized the Government for putting the dream projects like widening of the BC Road, Jewel Chowk-Rehari Chungi Fly Overs and Chenab drinking water Project of Akhnoor” in the cold storage.
Addressing the Protestors, Dimple said there is hue and cry among the people due to scarcity of drinking water, poor electrification system and worst traffic problem, which they are facing daily but instead of redressing these problems, Government is busy in misleading the people of Jammu with hollow assurances.
He demanded the Government to construct alternative four way circular road from Amphalla to Bantalab and Jewel Chowk to Talab Tillo, widening of Road from Jewel Chowk to Purkhu, besides starting Chenab Water Supply Project and fresh electrification of the Jammu City.
