JWAM demands district status for Jammu West

JAMMU, Oct 20: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) president Sunil Dimple has strongly reacted to the statement of Rajnath Singh, Home Minister, stating that there is no need of Governor rule in State.
Addressing a press conference, Dimple criticised the statement of Rajnath Singh, Home Minister on the law and order in the Kashmir as well as in the State.
He demanded for immediate imposition of the Governor Rule in the State. He further demanded dissolution of State Assembly with immediate effect.
Stating that no development is taking place in the winter capital and particularly in the West Assembly constituency. Dimple called for the grant of “district status” of Jammu West and its bifurcation into two Assembly segments and without any further delay.
Sunil threatened to start the Jan-Andolan for the grant of district status to the West Assembly constituency.
He alleged Jammu has not been included in the list of the Smart cities. All the dreams projects of Jammu city has been put in the cold storage including traffic problems, no construction of the flyovers, ring roads, Mono Rail, Metro Rail, Chenab Water Supply Project and BJP did nothing for the Jammu region people.
He alleged the BJP Ministers, MLAs, MPs are more responsible for this discrimination with Jammu region.
