JAMMU, May 2: The activ-ists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held protest demonstration against deteriorating traffic scenario in the Jammu city.
Large number of traders and prominent citizens, raised slogans against the PWD, R&B and JMC to send a strong message to State Government that the PWD R&B, JMC, ERA and the traffic regulating agencies have miserably failed to solve the traffic problem of Jammu city.
Addressing protesters, JWAM presient, Sunil Dimple,  demanded construction of Flyovers at Rehari Chungi, Jewal Chowk and also widening of the BC Road.
He also demanded for the construction of alternative four way circular road from Amphalla  Manda to Bantalab via High Court  Janipur -Roop Nagar and beyond to ease traffic on the Janipur road.
He demanded for starting of Metro Rail, Mono Rail connecting the Jammu city with adjoining towns and rectifying of traffic signal lights in the city.
Dimple demanded for the CBI inquiry of the funds allotted to ERA, PWD and R&B for the black topping of the Jammu city roads.
Other leaders who joined the protest were Sham Saroop Gupta, Manjit Kumar Anand, Shiv Kumar, P C Kapoor, Rajinder Sharma, Sat Pal Kohli, Harbans Tondon, Som Nath Sharma, Sachin, R K Bhawani, Shiv Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Sham Luthra, Manohar Singh, S Gurmeet Singh, Sat pal, Sanjay Kumar and Vijay Sharma.
