JAMMU, Aug 20: Jugal Kishore Sharma BJP Member of Lok Sabha from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency along with Rajeev Sharma, MLA Akhnoor Constituency & Pradeep Sharma, MLC visited the various spots to take stock of the four laning of Jammu -Akhnoor Highway and its further widening up to Poonch.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, said that the required cutting work of trees and removal for necessary encroachment have been started by the Department of National Highway & Infrastructure Development Corp Ltd (NHIDCL) to start the Construction work for four Laning of Highway from Jammu to Akhnoor. He said four laning of the road has become necessary as road is prone to accidents due to increasing number of vehicular traffic on it.
Jugal Kishore said that the demarcation has been given and the various points have been marked to start the work of road for elevations and stretch wherever required. Moreover, he gave necessary direction to the staff of NHIDCL who accompanied him.
Rajeev Sharma, MLA Akhnoor, Constituency said that the DPRs have been already framed for Jammu to Akhnoor four laning and its widening up to Poonch and at various places the ancillary work has been started and soon the main construction will be started. He also complimented the Member of Parliament for his great Co-operation.
Pradeep Sharma MLC said that the manpower should be extended more to get better results and the construction work should be executed with the great speed. He also urged Member of Parliament to put more interest to start the work for widening of National Highway upto Poonch.
General Manager(P) NHIDCL ,Vijay Kumar along with staff, district president, BJP Jammu Rural , Omi Khajuria, Ex MLA, Bharat Bhushan, Senior BJP leader, Nand Kishore, BJP Yuva Morcha leader , Rohit Verma and others also were present on the occasion.
