Judge us on our performance: Bhalla to people

JAMMU, Nov 8: Minister for Housing, Culture and Horticulture and Congress party candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency Raman Bhalla today maintained that it was his endeavor to develop Gandhi Nagar on modern lines and a model constituency in the State. For cherishing this dream, Minister has sought people’s support for another stint.
“During the period of this party, the country and State progressed steadfastly in all sectors”, he said, adding that the party has multi-pronged planning and strategy to deal with the issues of unemployment, poverty and upliftment of weaker sections of the society. The programmes and policies of the Congress party are people friendly and millions of poor people have availed benefits of these schemes, he added.
Minister said this while addressing public meetings in  Dasmesh Nagar,Preet Nagar, Marakdi Mohala Gangyal of the Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He cautioned the people against the propaganda unleashed by the disruptive forces against the Congress, adding that these unscrupulous forces appear during election and try to spread false rumors and incite the sentiments of innocent people in the name of religion, caste, creed and color.
Referring to the development of Gandhi Nagar constituency, Minister asked the people to compare his tenures as representative of the constituency with previous 50 years and feel the difference themselves on ground.
“I am seeking votes not just to form the next Government in the State but support for putting in place a Congress regime that has the commitment and the consistency to deliver on its agenda of ensuring larger political and economic welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, Minister added.
He added that people shall have to exercise their franchise more effectively and decisively in the upcoming Assembly elections to shape a new and bright future for the State.
“I hope that people would judge us on our performance in the Government and on the basis of the agenda of change that we placed before them”, Minister stated.
