JAMMU, Jan 14: Reiterating its commitment for re-organization of J&K for equitable development of all regions of the State, working committee of Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party has adopted a resolution demanding full compensation and respectable rehabilitation of all the refugees of 1947 (Pakistan) from PoK, 1965 and 1971 with comprehensive settlement according to international law.
The emergency meeting was held here in Jammu under the chairmanship of Harshdev Singh and attended by several senior party working committee members including Balwant Singh Mankotia, president JKNPP, Yashpal Kundal, president Young Panthers, Anita Thakur, P K Ganju, H C Jalmeria and others.
Prof Bhim Singh, chief patron of JKNPP, was also present in the emergency meeting and he called on the Panthers to stand by the commitment of the party in the secularism, equality and democracy.
The working committee also demanded full compensation and arrears to the Talwara migrants as per SC order and accused the State Government of subjecting border migrants to horrifying treatment.
The working committee, in its declaration, stated that the party shall not join hands with any communal, corrupt, sectarian or authoritarian group or party at all and walk alone for the cause it has undertaken for the welfare of the people of Jammu Pradesh and Kashmir Ghati. It said reorganization is the only solution to end regional conflict so that the residents of all regions, Ladakh, Kashmir valley and Jammu Pradesh shall live in honour, dignity and get justice at all stages.
The Panthers Party also declared that the organization election will be held in Jammu on March 23- the Foundation Day of JKNPP.
