JKMEF submits charter of demands to Health Minister

JAMMU, Dec 26: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) today submitted a charter of demands to Ch Lal Singh, Minister for Health, Medical Education, ARI Trainings, during a function organized by the association in the auditorium of Government Medical College, Jammu.
The main purpose of the event was to honor the Minister on receiving State of Status Award all over in India in primary health care.
The leaders of federation including president, Sushil Sudan and secretary general, Vinod Kumar Sharma were present on the occasion. The other dignitaries present were Dr Zahid Jeelani Principal, GMC Jammu, Dr Baljeet Pathania, Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Baldev Raj Sharma, Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, Dr Yash Paul Sharma, Managing Director, Medical Supplies Corporation, Dr Mohan Singh, Mission Director, NHM, Dr Kabir Dar, Director General, ISM besides all HoDs of GMC Jammu.
The demands highlighted in the memorandum were implementation of amendment of SRO 20 without further delay, creation of posts of District Pharmacy Officers/Block Pharmacy Officers, permanent solution of Salary Head 2211, promotion to FMPHWs who are trained LHVs as Health Educator at par with MMPHW and also creation of post of LHVs in PHCs, over time allowance to all such categories (Male/Female) be given to the employees who are performing 12 hours night duty as per Labour Laws.
The other demands included in the memorandum were enhancement of FTA of Field staff (Malaria) Rs 45 to Rs 1000 per month and issuance of RMP status to them after retirement, holding of regular DPC meetings twice in a year, creation of posts of Section Officers in all CMO Offices, Head Assistant at Block Level, posts of Ophthalmic Technicians at PHC level in all Blocks, Technical Officer in SHTO Workshop, etc.
