The GST, one nation, one tax bill, is going to take off from the midnight of 30, June. It is disheartening that Jammu and Kashmir, as always, lags behind, and is going to miss the benefits which other states in India unanimously are going to take. The problems in the leadership of Jammu and Kashmir has always been to trivialise the issues by blackmailing the common people in the name of regionalism, azadi, self-rule, autonomy etc. The intensions of the politicians have always remained on the vote bank politics. Had our leadership been visionary, it would have given priority to GST over other trivial issues in keeping the interests of the general traders, consumers, and the government as well.
