JAMMU, Aug 22: Swanzal Foundation, a social, art, culture and education society, is leaving for cultural tour to Japan with a group of 14 artists to participate in 70th anniversary of Indian Independence celebrations.
To showcase the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, its traditional/folk music and dances with the message of unity in diversity, brotherhood, peace and prosperity, a cultural troupe of Swanzal Foundation comprising of 14 most talented artists like dancers, actors, music composer, singers and musicians is leaving for Japan tomorrow.
The cultural group is lead by most reputed and renowned artists fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir State, Bihari Kak, Vijay Dhar, Kuldeep Saproo and Ravi Kachroo. The artists accompanying the troupe are Raj Kumar Bhat, Sonali Dogra, Zulikha Farid, Sonali Pandita, Nishu Pandita, Priya Kumari, Ashima Sharma, Shiksha Bhat, Karan Malhotra and Akash Dogra (Choreographer).
The cultural group of Swanzal Foundation will perform in Japan on 70th anniversary of Indian Independence celebrations being organised by FOI cell and Indian Embassy in Japan.
The group will perform at three different places in Japan. First performance will be on August 25 in Tokyo, followed by performance on August 27 at Ishikawa Kanizawa and last performance at Osaka on August 29.
The program has been organised by Indian Embassy in Japan on the 70th anniversary of India’s independence being celebrated world over.
