JeM militant killed in Tral

Srinagar, Dec 16: A foreign militant of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was killed in a mine blast today in South Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Security forces recovered body of a militant at Tral from  Eidgah area. The foreign militant of JeM was killed when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), he was preparing, exploded outside his hideout in Handura forests. Sources said that he was killed several days ago.

The body was recovered along with a letter placed over it. The letter, sources said, identified the deceased as Umar Bhai of Pakistan and was associated with Jaish-e-Muhammad.
A massive search operation has been launched in the area after the recovery of the body.
The town observed shutdown after militant’s killing. Shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town while public transport was off the roads.
In the meantime, train service resumed today after remaining suspended for a day in Kashmir due to security reasons.
The service was suspended yesterday in the wake of call for a public rally in Anantnag called by the separatists.
Authorities had suspended the service between Baramulla and Banihal besides imposing restrictions in parts of Srinagar and Anantnag districts.
