Jan for resumption of cross LoC trade

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Mar 17: Seeking early restoration of cross LoC trade between India and Pakistan via Chakan- da- Bagh in Poonch,  Youth National Conference provincial president Ajaz Jan today hoped that the current uncertain spell will end soon which will go a long way in assuaging the aspirations of traders.
While interacting with the party workers from Poonch here today, Jan said that Trade Felicitation Centre, Chakan- da- Bagh  recently came under heavy mortar shelling from Pakistani side and administrative block of  TFC has been damaged. He hoped that the damaged infrastructure would be put in place and efforts redoubled to resume the trade.
Jan further  said that good neighbourly relations between the two countries will ameliorate the lot of  border dwellers. He, however, expressed concern over the callous attitude of the State Government in neglecting the border people, saying that shelling victims are yet to get any assistance in terms of compensation or construction of bunkers.
He asked State Govt to shun its hostility towards the border sufferers and attend to their needs on priority.
