JAMMU, Aug 29: “Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana” scheme will prove beneficial for J&K.
This was stated by BJP State spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, terming the scheme as a milestone in the post independent India.
He added that the scheme has been carved to eradicate poverty and will surely result into socio-economic revolution. In the coming days, it will turn out to be a massive social movement as its long lasting impact will be to end centuries old economic untouchability, he added.
As far Jammu and Kashmir, this scheme will prove to be more beneficial as the poor people and a particular section of youth, who had been lured by the anti-national forces by giving some amount of money to take on to gun culture, will help in eradicating militancy.
The scheme will make economically marginalized people in particular, to streamline and manage their meager finances through banking system rather than manipulative private credit societies, he said, adding that this multi-purpose scheme will also bring more money into circulation, accelerate the economic wheel of the country, check flow of black money and obviously put the financial structure on the strong footing.
The benefits of this scheme like insurance of rupees one lakh to every new Account opener, ATM card facility and over draft of rupees five thousands after six months of smooth operation of the account are attractive incentives, he stated.
