JAMMU, Nov 12: Jammu Heritage Society (JHS) today elected its office bearers for the term 2017 onwards.
The elections were held under the supervision of Sunny Dua as election president and Verinder Khurana as election member.

The newly elected office bearers are Bhuvneshwar Gandotra (president), Sanjeev Karla and Ashwani Arora (vice presidents), Ajesh Rohmetra (general secretary), Sanjay Gupta (secretary) and Amit Goel (treasurer). Om Prakash Gupta shall continue as chairman of the society.
On the occasion, outgoing founder president of the Society, Baldev Khullar, was honoured by presenting a shawl and souvenir for his contributions to the cause of the society.
The new president assured the members that he shall work in right earnest with all members and office bearers to achieve the aims and objectives of the society. He further assured that he shall try to impress upon the Government to declare Mubarak Mandi as Trade Mark for J&K State besides opening Bahu Fort for public and tourists.
Gandotra also assured that he along with his team will stressed upon the Government to complete work on ongoing tourism projects in Jammu and develop other tourist circuits of Jammu like Ranjit Sagar Dam project on priority basis.
Ajesh Rohmetra conducted the proceedings and presented vote of thanks. The other members present were Sanjay Sethi, Sachin Khurana, Ashwini Gupta, Gian Sharma, Vijay Pargal, Devikinandan, Vijay Atri and Anoop Jain.
