JAMMU, Dec 3: Former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla assailed the BJP-PDP Govt for utterly failing in deliverance, saying that both parties have lost confidence and mandate of the people of Jammu.
Addressing gathering at Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar in Narwal area today, Bhalla said 2014 excitement and expectations, are terribly missing among people and resentment is growing among them due to policies propagated by this Govt, which is struggling to put its act together after plunging the State into unprecedented political and administrative crisis. He said that people of Jammu have seen enough of BJP-PDP rhetoric’s and it is time for Jammuites to realize their mistake of supporting BJP.
Bhalla said that the people of Jammu are feeling let down and betrayed, as their problems are accumulating with each passing day. He said the arrogance of power and lack of governance has distanced the BJP from its core agenda, people of Jammu hugely realizing the mistake of putting them into the cradle of administrators.
Pointing towards the most humiliating instances of discrimination in employment during the present regime, Bhalla said that the unemployment rate of Jammu region remained unabated ever since the unholy alliance of BJP-PDP assumed power. He said that the perpetuation of bias by the incumbent Govt by divesting Jammu region of its legitimate share in various sectors as clearly noticed during the last two years was wholly unacceptable to Congress party.
He cautioned the State Government that people are eagerly waiting for the appropriate time to pull the curtains down on the sinister alliance. While the youth of Jammu Pradesh had lost faith in the credibility and integrity of the system, the discriminatory selections had made a mockery of the police and nothing else, Bhalla remarked. He said `PDP-BJP’ is forcing educated unemployed youth of Jammu region to come on streets against step motherly treatment being meted out to them. He regretted that BJP leadership, which claimed to the champion of Jammu’s cause, has maintained a criminal silence over this discrimination due to lust of power.
