ISRO is jubilant

Indian Space Research Organization has added another feather to its cap by successfully test firing indigenously built nuclear capability Agni-1 missile from the firing range of Balasore. Weighing 12 tonnes, the 15-metre-long Agni-I, which can carry payloads up to 1000 kg, has already been inducted into the Indian Army. This surface to surface missile has a range of 700 kilometers and its specialist is that it has high precision strike.
India is a peace loving country. In her long history, India has never launched attack on any country in the neighbourhood. In fact she has always been the victim of aggression from outside. This threat is as much alive today as it was in olden days. But as times and situation have changed, India cannot remain complacent and has to make all preparations of defending her sovereignty and territorial integrity both of which are threatened by nefarious designs of our two neighbours who are working in unholy alliance. Therefore we welcome the various protective measures which the Indian state takes to further strengthen its defence capabilities. Agni-! is part of that defence strategy. India has always been stressing on resolving differences through negotiations and talks whether it is China with whom we have border dispute or Pakistan which has unleashed proxy war against us. Nevertheless, the message from India is that we are for peace and are prepared for use of all defensive strategies to safeguard our nation from aggression from outside.
