India, Pak resume trade after 2 days

JAMMU: After two continuous days of firing, trade between India and Pakistan resumed today on the Line of Control in Poonch district.

”Both India and Pakistan exchanged goods this afternoon via Chakkan-da-Bagh Trade Felicitation Centre on the LoC in Poonch district,” an official here said. He said that the trade was suspended in view of heavy cross border firing.

”One truck carrying bananas went across the LoC today while eight trucks loaded with fruits and vegetables reached on this side of the border,” he asserted. However, due to firing, weekly Poonch-Rawlakote ‘Peace Bus’ service has also been suspended till March 20. (AGENCIES)
