Independence Day, Janamashtami celebrated with patriotic, religious fervour

JAMMU, Aug 14: Various institutions and organizations celebrated Independence Day and Janamashtami with patriotic and religious fervour, here today.
On the eve of Independence Day both the branches of Model Academy were filled with patriotism and love for the Country. To mark the celebration, an assemblage of events took place ranging from patriotic songs to dances and speeches. The programme started with guard of honour to the chief guest, Dr. Adit Gupta, Director, MIER by Scouts and Guides & NCC Wing of the school.
Indira Kids Playway School, Shant Nagar, Janipur Jammu celebrated Janmashtami and Independence day program with full fervour and gaiety. All the staff members and the management including chairman of the School, Sanjay Padha and the Principal, Rashu Padha greeted the students on the occasion.
On the eve of Krishan Janamashtami a special function was held at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public School Kunjwani. Tiny Toddlers of the school came in fancy dresses of Lord Krishna and Radha. Special attraction was the Rasleela an Dandya dance by Gopies of different classes. Prof Harbans Singh Chairman of the school was the chief guest on the occasion.
JK Montessorie British School and its affiliated unit JK Little Millennium British School celebrated Janamashtami with gaiety fervour and great enthusiasm in the school premises here today. The programe started with a cultural fiesta and the students were dressed up like Radha and Krishna.
On the occasion of the 71st birthday of Independent India and birthday of Lord Krishna, Crescent Public School organized a ceremony with great pomp and show. The function started with flag hoisting ceremony by the chairperson, Arshad Choudhary, MD Tasneem Kousar, Director Academics Mobin Sayeed and School Principal Bhavna Kaushal.
Guru Harkrishan Public School, Sector-3, Guru Nanak Nagar, Jammu celebrated Janamasthmi in the school premises with enthusiasm and fervour. The function began with the religious prayer. A special assembly was organized which was followed by the school choir presenting a Group Song.
Independence Day and Janamashtami celebrations were held with sheer enthusiasm and fervour by students, teachers and all staff members of Shangrilla Public School in the presence of Principal. Programme began with hoisting of National Flag amid singing of National Anthem.
Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School, Rajpura today saluted the Nation and its freedom fighters on the eve of 71st Independence Day, in the premises of the school. The students of the school marked the occasion by holding a cultural programme highlighting the unity in diversity.
On the eve of Independence Day 2017, GGF Jammu chapter organized a function in the premises of Oriental Academy Jammu to honour the meritorious students and citizens of Jammu city. Major General G S Jamwal presided over the function and Prof Lalit Magotra,  a noted academician and Dogri litterateur was the guest of honour.
To commemorate the sacrifices made by great men for our country and foster patriotic feeling among students, a function was organized by Army Public School Rakhmuthi at Byram Stadium to celebrate the 71st Independence Day of India. The programme began with lamp lighting ceremony by the esteemed guests and the Principal, Shaswati Ghosh as a tribute to the martyrs of our country.
A fancy dress competition was held in the premises of AOC Higher Secondary School on the occasion of Independence Day and Janamashtmi. A variety of cultural items were also presented amid hoisting of National Flag.
Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana celebrated the Janmashtami and Independence Day in its school premises with great enthusiasm and reverence. The School Trustee, Ruchi Charak along with the Principal, Anita Bhatia unfurled the flag and took the pledge along with the children and teachers to join hands for global peace and harmony.
The Indian Army joined the Nation in celebrating Independence Day by organising a “Know Your Army Mela” at Kishtwar Helipad on the eve of Independence Day today. The event which attracted a host of people especially school and college students commenced with the hoisting of National Flag by Army officials followed by a Dog Show and an Army Pipe Band Display.
Mount Litera Zee School Jammu (Anand Nagar, Bohri) celebrated ‘Independence Day’ and ‘Janamashtami’ with great enthusiasm and joy in the presence of Chairman, Er. Parneesh Mahajan, Liaision Officer Harvinder Singh Sihotra, Principal Manikarnika Bhasin, Co-ordinator Radhika Mahajan, Staff and students.
Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrated Janmashtami and Independence Day with great zeal and fervour. A number of activities were organized to mark the twin celebrations. The whole campus wore a festive look with dahi handis decorated by the kindergarten students who were dressed in fancy attires for various activities.
Anuradha Higher Secondary School, Barnai celebrated 71st Independence Day and Janamasthami-birth of Lord Krishna- with greal zeal and enthusiasm, at the School premises here today. Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu, was the chief guest on the occasion, who hoisted tricolour and took the salute of parade performed by the students of four houses of the school.
Sahodaya Schools Complex Jammu celebrated Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Jagdish Singh Dhami, Principal Heritage school and President Sahodaya Schools Complex Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while Seema Gupta, Principal Springdales School and Vivek Arora, Principal Bhargava Public School were the guests of honour.
KIDZEE, a pre-school of “Zee Learn Ltd” celebrated Independence Day and Janamashtmi at its branches at Anand Nagar (Bohri), Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat, Trikuta Nagar and Talab Tillo with great pomp and show. The function started with the special assembly in which the students were dressed up in different costumes of freedom fighters, Radha and Krishna.
APS Kaluchak celebrated the Independence Day in its premises with great enthusiasm and reverence today. The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Hem Lata Vishen, Principal APS Kaluchak and the singing of the National Anthem.
The Independence Day of India was celebrated with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm by Daffodils Care Convent Pre School Jain Bazar in the school campus today. The flag hoisting ceremony was performed by Principal, Shikha Puri with Chairperson of the School, Narinder Gupta.
The students of Stephens International Public School, Jammu celebrated Independence  Day today with zeal and spirit. The Flag hoisting ceremony took place in presence of Satvinder Saini, Director,   Manoj K Agnihotri, Principal and other staff members.
MHAC campus looked colourful with many of primary & KG students dressed in Krishnas and Radhas. The students wore yellow costumes to be Krishna holding decorated flutes in their hands. Radhas wore lovely, brightly coloured Lehngas with beautiful Chunris. Principal Sween Puri appreciated the efforts of all the participants and the teachers for making the day colourful.
The Kartar Public School, Barnoti family celebrated Janmashtami with all passion and zeal. The students of Pre Primary classes enacted the roles of Lord Sri Krishna, Radha, Yashoda, Nandji and Gopikas amongst many other characters related to Janmashtami. They were dressed up in the attire of Krishna and Radhas.
Devs Kids International School Reasi celebrated Janamashtami function in the school premises with religious fervour. All kids were dressed up as Radhas and Krishnas with different colours.
Apple Kids International pre-school Gandhi Nagar Jammu celebrated Janamashtami function in the school premises today. All kids were dressed up as Radhas and Krishnas to make the atmosphere colourful and festive.
On the eve of Independence Day, SAVIOURS, the Blood Organization, organized a Blood Donation Camp at Indo-Pak International Border at Suchetgarh (RS Pura) Jammu.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker of  Legislative Assembly was the chief guest, while Ram Avtar IG BSF Jammu and PS DHiman, DIG BSF Jammu were the guests of honour.
Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab celebrated 71st Independence Day with great patriotic fervor, zeal and zest. A colorful cultural programme was organized on the occasion. Students of class 1st took part in fancy dress competition based on the theme “Our National Heroes”.
The students and staff of Shri Mahavir Jain Higher Secondary School Jammu celebrated 70th Independence Day in the School Campus today with devotion and enthusiasm. Tricolour was unfurled by the General Secretary Jain Educational Trust, Ramneek Jain, who was the chief guest on the occasion.

Independence Day and Janam ashtami was celebrated in Little Buds Public School, Krishna Nagar, Jammu with great zeal and enthusiasm. Chairman Sanjeev Kumar and Sukuntla Bangotra hoisted the National Flag. The program began with National Anthem. Students presented dance items and sang patriotic songs.
Green Fields School children gave a great performance to mark the occasions of Janamashtami and Independence Day. It was a treat to see young children dressed up as Radha Krishna dancing to the tunes of patriotic songs choreographed by Richa and Renu.
Cambridge Public School Paloura celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour and zeal today. Principal of the school, Baljit Singh Manhas hoisted the National Flag amid singing of National Anthem.

Unique Public School Ranjari zone Vijaypur celebrated Janamashtami and Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Chairman Hem Raj, Principal Mamta Bahrti of the institution threw light on the importance of Janamashtami and Independence Day after hoisting the National Flag.
KIDZEE, Ranibagh, Main Road, Airport, Jammu celebrated Independence Day and Janamashtami wirh zeal and zest today. Kids dressed up as Krishna, Radha and Meera performed pooja, besides presenting National Anthem amid hoisting of National Flag by the Principal.
Modern Academy, Talab Khatikan, Jammu orgnaised a cultural programme to celebrate Janamashtami and Independence Day. National Flag was hoisted by the Principal of the school, SS Gupta on the occasion.
MC Khalsa High School celebrated Independence Day with pomp and show today. Chairman of the school, S Harbans Singh, former Minister was the chief guest on the occasion, who unfurled the National Flag amid singing of National Anthem.
KIDZEE, pre-school Rehari celebrated Independence Day and Janamashtami with religious spirit today. National Flag was hoisted in the school premises amid singing of National Anthem.
SD Tara Puri Public School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu celebrated Independence Day and Janamashtami by organizing a special Assembly highlighting the importance of the day. Ram Lal Sharma, Secretary Management Committee of the School was the chief guest, who along with Principal, Neeru Puri hoisted the National Flag.
MV International School celebrated Independence Day in the school premises today. K L Dogra, Principal of the School hoisted the National Flag and threw light on the importance of the day.
GGHS Pouni celebrated Janamashtami and Independence Day today in its school campus by organizing colourful bonanza of cultural program comprising of patriotic songs and folklore. Daljeet Kour Master of the institution hoisted the National Flag and delivered speech on the importance of the day.
