Increasing hostility of Pak deserves befitting response: Brig Gupta

JAMMU, Dec 27: The prompt punitive strike carried out by Infantry Commandos (Ghatak) of the Infantry Battalion of Indian Army in the Rakh Chakri Sub-Sector of Rawalakot (PoJK) across Poonch will serve as a perfect warning to the Pakistan Army of the brilliant professionalism and valiant spirit of the Indian Army troops deployed on the Line of Control.
Pakistan needs to behave and exercise proper control and restraint on its troops deployed on Indian border failing which it should be ready to face the consequences, warned Brig Anil Gupta, State Spokesperson of the Party.
The release states that ever since the installation of Modi Government at the Centre there has been a policy shift on responding to unprovoked ceasefire violations wherein local Commanders have been delegated full authority for appropriate response in order to maintain tactical assertiveness under the umbrella of strategic restraint.
He advised the local administration to prepare various contingencies so that they are not caught unaware leading to unnecessary loss of life or injury to the locals. The loss suffered by the Pakistani Army will not be easily digestible to it and it may respond by targeting the civilians, warned the press release.
BJP also expressed dismay and concern at the inhuman behaviour of Pakistani officials during the meeting of the mother and wife of Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav with him. Pakistani authorities failed to adhere to the mutually agreed protocols prior to the meeting and deliberately violated them to harass the visitors.
The meeting not only proved to be farce but a blatant attempt to create false narratives regarding involvement of Commander Jadhav in alleged cases of terrorism in Pakistan which we strongly condemn. The increasing hostility of Pakistan deserves a befitting response which hopefully should be done soon said Brig Gupta.
