Implement 7th pay panel report: LPEF

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Dec 8: All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation (LPEF) has urged upon the State Government to implement 7th Pay Commission report on the Central Government pattern without any more delay.
In a largely attended meeting of the employees, pensioners, village guards and Numberdars at Akhnoor today, State president of the Federation, Abdul Majid Khan severely criticized the State Government for the inordinate delay in the implementation of 7th CPC report  and  ignoring the other genuine and  justified demands of the employees, workers and pensioners of then State.
Khan alleged that while Government was worried about the salaries, perks, allowances and other benefits of Ministers and Legislators, it has failed to release even hard earned wages of poor daily rated  and consolidated workers for months together. It has failed to implement new pay recommendations, enhance medical allowance of the employees and pensions while they have hiked it for legislators up to Rs 5000 per month. The employees are being provided just Rs 300. It is needed to be hiked to Rs 1000 if not Rs 2000. Due to the rising prices of the essentials and other items the lower grade employees are bearing the brunt of it. The Government must release pending DA installment, he added.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included Babu Ram Sharma- president Akhnoor unit, R C Bhagat,  Thakur Dass, Bindravan and Ram Lal.
