Srinagar, Nov 14: Inspector General Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, Munir Khan, has promoted 123 Head Constables (HCs) to the rank of Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs).
The approval for the promotion was granted by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) under the chairmanship of IGP Kashmir Munir Ahmad Khan, a police spokesman said.
The committee has approved promotions in favour of 123 Head Constables of Executive Wing to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors having lien and seniority with Kashmir Zone.
“The DPC has also disposed off 49 other promotion cases of different ranks whose cases were not earlier considered for their promotion to the next ranks in view of different reasons,” he said.
