Holistic plan apace for development of Bhaderwah: Dy CM

JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today said that the Government has undertaken several measures to ensure that the historic Bhaderwah and its catchment areas come up on the Tourist circuit of the country besides getting the requisite facilities in housing and other related sectors.

The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with several deputations from Bhaderwah including Citizen Welfare Council, Sanathan Dharm Sabha, Development and Intellectual Forum, Anjuman-e-Islamia. The delegations were led by MLA, Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar.

The deputations raised several issues including commitments of the late Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed which include the augmentation and development of the tourists infra, Construction of Golf Course at Jio Bhaderwah, increasing the connectivity of the area with the capital cities and with Himachal Pradesh.

The delegations also called for developing other areas of Bhaderwah under adventure tourism- tracking routes and also taking steps for development of pilgrimage tourism by developing facilities at historical Maha Kali temple at Gandoh Bhallesa and historical shrine/Jamia Masjid at Akhyarpur Jakyas Bhalessa.

The Deputy Chief Minister assured the deputations that he would take up all the relevant issues with the concerned and ensure their early redress. He said the Government has embarked on a holistic plan to ensure the development of the historic Bhaderwah town and its catchment areas.
