JAMMU, Mar 13: Dr. M.K. Bhandari, Commissioner Secretary Health & Medical Education, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Governor asked Dr. Bhandari to inform him about the measures being taken to provide adequate health care services in the far flung and inaccessible areas of the State.
Stressing the importance of providing satisfactory health care services, Governor advised Dr. Bhandari to ensure efficient management of the hospitals in the State and to particularly ensure against private practice by those not permitted to undertake it, as is the case of the doctors working in SKIMS, Srinagar.
Governor also stressed the need to ensure efficient functioning of the State Medical Supplies Corporation about which recurring complaints are being received.
