HC warrant against DC Bandipora

Srinagar, Mar 13: The High Court today issued bailable warrants against the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora for flouting and disobeying the Court orders.
Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey issued bailable warrants to the tune of Rs 20,000 against DC Bandipora for securing his presence on next date of hearing in contempt petition.
Despite putting on notice, contemnor DC has not filed any reply raised in the contempt petition leaving no option for the Court out to issue bailable warrants to DC for securing his presence before the court on next date.
“Registry to issue a bailable warrant in the name of present Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, in the amount of Rs 20000 to secure his presence before the Court on the next date of hearing”, Justice Magrey directed.
Court also directed the Commissioner/ Secretary to Revenue Department to file his compliance of judgment within two weeks and posted the matter for further consideration on March 24.
The contempt petition has been filed by one Abdul Hamid Bhat seeking implementation of basic judgment passed in 2012 in which authorities were directed to absorb the petitioner Bhat on Class IV post within eight weeks period and give all the service benefits available to the post.
Since the authorities failed to comply the directions which compelled the petitioner to file another petition which came to be disposed of with the direction to the respondent authorities more particularly DC Bandipora to implement the judgment within a period of eight weeks but authorities did not choose to implement the same.
In violation of two judgments contempt proceedings has been initiated against DC Bandipora and Commissioner/ Secretary Revenue for willfully disobeying the judgments.
