KATHUA, Jan 10: People of Hatli Morh today held a demonstration and blocked Jammu Pathankote National Highway in protest against the failure of PDD to restore the power transformer in the area which has developed a snag four days back resulting in complete black out in the area.
The protesters including men, women and children squatted on National Highway and did not allow any vehicle to pass with the result there was a huge traffic jam on both sides of NH for one hour from 10 am to 11 am.
Later the police team led by Dy SP Headquarters, Ajay Kumar rushed to the spot and he pacified the protesters. He after talking to PDD authorities assured them that the transformer in the area will be restored by tomorrow morning. On this assurance the people dispersed and traffic was restored in NH.
