SRINAGAR: Governor N N Vohra today directed two premier Universities in Jammu and Kashmir to implement reservation policy for differently-abled in teaching and non-teaching positions.
The direction follows serious concern raised by various organisations regarding non-implementation of reservation policy for differently-abled in Kashmir University (KU) and Jammu University (JU). He has directed Vice-Chancellors of both the Universities to ensure that the requisite modalities for implementation of Reservation Policy for Persons with Disabilities, both for teaching and non-teaching positions in the Universities, are finalised by October 31, 2017.
