Guru Nabha Dass Committee holds massive protest against admn

KATHUA, May 21: The Guru Nabha Dass Committee Kathua has expressed strong resentment against the anti encroachment drive launched by District Administration on the site where a structure was raised by the Committee on the State land few days back at W No 14 Kathua.
A massive protest was held in the town led by BSP State president , Som Raj and protestors blocked the college road in front DC Office.  They raised anti Government and anti DC slogans and showed their resentment over action taken by District Administration.
They brunt the effigy of Deputy Commissioner Kathua and criticized the action taken by him .While addressing, Som Raj criticized the anti encroachment action by administration. He said that they were raising the structure for temple. But DC Kathua demolished the structure and hurt the sentiments of Guru Nabha Dass devotees.
He warned the DC to permit them to construct the structure otherwise they will do it forcibly and no one can stop them. It is mentioned here that few days earlier Guru Nabha Dass Committee tried to encroach a piece of State land at WNO 14 Kathua and raised pacca structure within few hours with the support of number of committees people’s .
After getting information, Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rohit,  Khajuria along with Police team reached on the spot and stop the works. The people present on the spot started stone pelting   on police and police retaliate with teargas shell.  In which nine police personal including Additional SP Kathua and four civilians were got injured. The administration retrieved the land.
