Gur prices remain steady on ample stock

NEW DELHI, Mar 3: Steady conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices after moving in a tight range on scattered deals, settled at the last levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended steady on little doing.
Marketmen said adequate stocks and sporadic demand mainly kept gur prices unaltered.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,600-2,700, dhayya Rs 2,800-2,900 and shakkar Rs 2,900-3,000.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,050-2,100, chakku Rs 2,300-2,500, khurpa Rs 2,100-2,250 and Ladoo Rs 2,350- 2,450.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,200-2,300 and dhayya Rs 2,250-2,350.   (PTI)
